About Kelle Grace Gaddis

Kelle Grace Gaddis received BA in Culture, Literature and the Arts from University of Washington in 2011 and her MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics from the University of Washington in 2014. Her poem "The Way Home" was chosen for a Seattle Public Arts project by 4Culture's Poetry on the Buses project July of 2014. Her work was also published by Blackmail Press in August of 2014, Dove Tales Literary Journal in October of 2014 and Knot Literary Magazine in November of 2014. In recent years she has also been published in Clamor Literary Journal in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Ms. Gaddis was a top prize winner in’s national poetry contest in 2004. Ms. Gaddis founded BrightlyPress, a bi-annual publication, set to publish its first editions in 2015. Her small press. Look for Brightly Press at AWP, Hugo House and PNWA in 2015. Kelle Grace Gaddis has also worked on the radio as a guest of CBS Radio's talk show The Psychic Next Door with Michelle Hall and on Darkness Radio with Dave Schrader. While attending the University of Washington Ms. Gaddis was the host of UWave Radio’s Arts, Literature and Music Hour. In 2014 she was a featured on the NW Radio Program PoetsWest. Kelle Grace Gaddis wrote a segment for The Ghost Adventurers TV show's Seattle weekend at the Madison Hotel. Kelle Grace Gaddis reads her poetry and short stories regularly at Hugo House open mics and other venues in and around the Seattle area. Her first book Polishing A Gem On The Surface Of The Sea is under copyright with ProQuest and published by the University of Washington. A separate work of the same name is currently a finalist in Omnidawn's Fabulist Fiction Contest, the winner will be announced in late 2015.
